GODBOUT, MEDARD - Medard Godbout, 78, of Moncton passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, October 25, 2003. Born in Grand Falls (Drummond), son of the late John and Elizabeth (Coulombe) Godbout. Medard was a retired CNR Telegrapher with 33 years service. He attended Paroisse Notre-Dame-de-Grace, member of Club D'Age D'Or Notre Dame de Grace, and a member of the U.C.T. He enjoyed his trailer at Ocean Surf Park in Shediac, walking, riding his bike, cars and playing cards. Medard will be sadly missed by his wife, Violetta (Vi) (Carrier) Godbout; daughters, Jean Emery (Michael), Saint John, Patricia Boyle (Patti) (Michael), Moncton; sons, Donald (Katrina), William (Debbie), Charles (Carol), Moncton, David (Katherine), Hampton; 25 grandchildren; one great great grandchild; step-children, Lise Shalala, Moncton, Francine Bernard (Guy), Sept-Iles, PQ, Denise Levine (Kenny), Bathurst, Charles Parent (Anne), Suzanne Daigle (Fred), Paul Parent (Tanya), Moncton; brothers Herve (Leda), Brossard, PQ, Edwin (Anne), Montreal, PQ; sisters Jeannette Gervais, St. Henri, Lorette (Ouellette) (Patrick), Regina Rioux (Elie), Edwina DesChenes (Jean), Corrinne DesJardins (Leonide), Grand Falls, Sr. Marie-Ange, Syracuse, NY, Therese DesChenes (Antoine), Shannon, PQ, Ghislaine Godbout, Montreal, PQ; several nieces and nephews. Predecease by his first wife Eleanor (Mahone) Godbout (1996); brothers Antoine, Reginald; sisters, Odette, Solange. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, (858-1995) Monday 2-4, 7-9. Funeral mass at Paroisse Notre-Dame-de-Grace Tuesday, October 28, 2003, 1 p.m. Reception following the mass. Interment in Fair Haven Cemetery.
