FAIRWEATHER, RUTH E. - The death of Ruth Elizabeth Fairweather, of Ketepec, wife of 61 years this past August, of Glendon Burton Fairweather, occurred on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Olivia (Parsons) Blois. Ruth was a member of St. John Baptist (Mission Church) St. Clement. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed, by all those who knew her. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Gail Fogarty (Charles) of Saint John, one sister, Thelma Turcotte of Hamilton, ON, three grandchildren, Kimberly (Giuliano) DeBortoli, James (Paula) Wood and Craig (Donna) Wood, six great grandchildren, Giuliano, Sydney and Samantha DeBortoli, Katelyn, Jonathan and Dylan Wood, sisters-in-law, Rene Melanson (Blois) and Edith Blois, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Dana Fairweather, one daughter, Glenna Fairweather, sisters, Elizabeth, Kathleen, Laura and brothers, Kitchner, George, Earl, Clarence and Lemual. Resting at St. John Baptist (Mission Church) St. Clement, 819 Millidge Avenue, Saint John, with visiting on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.. Funeral service will be held at St. John Baptist (Mission Church) St. Clement, on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at 10:30 AM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Saint John Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, Canadian Cancer Society or the Mission Church would be appreciated.
