HUMPHREY, ARTHUR HERBERT - The death of Arthur H. Humphrey, age 85, of Norton, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on Friday, October 31, 2003. He was the husband of Lila (Sprague) Humphrey, and son of the late A. Herbert and Amelia (Coleman) Humphrey. Art is survived by his wife, sisters; Gretrude Bell, Sussex, Rita Mercer, Riverbank, Laura and Tom Anderson, Newtown, brother: Coleman Humphrey, Halifax, sister-in-law; Cecilia Humphrey, Bloomfield, brother-in-law; Milton Baxter, Apohaqui, nieces; Eleanor Ness, Shirley Freeman, and Theresa Teakles, nephews; Ken and Larry Humphrey, Lawrence and Coleman Anderson, Walker Baxter, John Mercer and cousins, and special friend, Billy Fulton, MA. He was predeceased by sister; Alice Baxter and brothers; Frank and Albert. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton. Visiting Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 3, 2003, followed by interment in Riverbank Cemetery.
