BELVA ELTHERIA LESLIE
LESLIE, BELVA ELTHERIA - Peacefully, at her residence, following a lengthy illness and surrounded by her family, on November 3, 2003, Mrs. Belva Eltheria (Hooper) Leslie, wife of the late Arthur Preston Leslie of Back Bay, NB. Born in Back Bay, NB on April 18, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Ottie and Blanche (Hanley) Hooper. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she is survived by one son, Terry (Eva) Leslie of St. George, NB; adopted son, Grant (Faith) Hooper of Back Bay, NB; four grandchildren, Kyle, Keith, Kory, and Nicole (Hooper) Thompson; two great-grandsons, Keenan, and Konner; and two great-granddaughters, Abby and Grace; one sister, Helen (Melvin) French of Back Bay, NB; special nephew, Wayne (Karen) Hooper of St. George, NB; nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by two brothers, Stillman and Artie Hooper; one sister, Flavilla Hooper. Belva had been employed by Connors Bros. Ltd. for 60 years as a packer and as a Floor Supervisor at her retirement. She enjoyed camping and was a life time member of the OES Granite Chapter #15. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held at The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2 pm with Rev. Gillis Mullin officiating, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. In Belva's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. The OES Granite Chapter #15 will be holding a Tribute Service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7 pm. www.stgeorgefh.ca
