LONGON, BESSIE THOMSON - The death of Bessie Thomson Longon, wife of the late Russell John Longon, occurred on November 2, 2003, at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was the daughter of the late David H. and Joan (Thomson) Brown. She was a bookkeeper and storeowner during her working life. She is survived by her son Thomas and his wife Carreen of Saint John, her brother James Brown and his wife Bertha of Saint John, her sister-in-law Olive Longon of Saint John, and her grandchildren Jennifer Longon of Saint John and Jeffrey Longon of British Columbia. Following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), the family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2003, at 1:00 PM, from Brenan's Chapel.
