JOHNSON, GERARD J - The Death of Gerard Johnson occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 11th, 2003. Born July 26th, 1912 in Saint Ignace Kent Co. NB, he was the son of the late Isaie and Claire (Richard) Johnson. Gerard is survived by his loving wife, Rita (Barolette), two sons, Vincent of Saint John and Ronald (Cecile) of Musquash. A daughter, Gloria (Rejean) Vautour of St. Ignace, two brothers, Joseph of Windsor Ont. and Edmund of California, a sister Alma Landry of Lewiston Maine, five grandchildren, Paul, Chrissy, Micheal, Brian and Jason, several nieces and nephews. Gerard was predeceased by a grandson; Joey. Gerard was a Knight of Columbus, Branch # 69 Council 6770 4th, degree. He was also a volunteer for the Red Cross, Miss Green Home, Carleton Kirk and Ridgewood. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John NB. (646-2424) With visitation on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm; the Knights of Columbus will have a tribute Wednesday evening at 7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 13th, 2003 from Our Lady of Assumption Church at 12 noon, with Father White officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Ext.
