DOROTHY HELEN SLOAT

SLOAT, DOROTHY HELEN - Of the Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John died peacefully at her residence on November 11, 2003. She was born in Hillsborough, NB and was the wife of the late Albert Emerson Sloat and daughter of the late James and Margaret Akerley. Dorothy lived all of her life in Saint John, was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, The Trinity Parish Guild and the Silver Cross Circle of the International Order of Kings Daughters and Sons. She was employed by the Synod Office of The Diocese of Fredericton for many years. She is survived by one nephew John Prince (Blanche), one niece Florence Withrow, two great nieces, Deborah Collicott and Dawn Shaw. Also survived by one great nephew David Prince. She is predeceased by three sisters, Muriel Parker, Winona Akerey, Marjorie Prince and one nephew Donald Prince. Resting at A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Trinity Anglican Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Fernhill Cemetery.
