HAYES, F. HARRIETT - 1919 - 2003 F. Harriett Hayes, 84, formerly of Walsh St. Moncton, passed away at Drew Nursing Home in Sackville on Friday, November 28, 2003. Born May 14, 1919 at the Head of the Millstream, Kings Co. NB. She was the daughter of the late Harley and Jennie C. (Patterson) Hayes. She was the former Director of Nursing of the A.J. MacMaster School of Nursing at the Moncton Hospital. She was a member of Mountain View United Church, MacBeath Ave. Moncton, as well as the U.C.W. of Mountain View, Harriett was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Past President of the New Brunswick Association of Registered Nurses, she was instrumental in establishing the Moncton Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae, the retired Nurses Association, the Moncton Hospital Nurses Auxiliary and a strong supporter and Past President of the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation. She was a veteran of W.W.II having active duty overseas. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 6 Moncton. She is survived by two sisters: Esther McKinnon (Bev) of Granville Ferry, NS. Betty Brisebois (Len) of Kelowna, BC. two brothers: Harold Hayes of Dartmouth, NS and Bill Hayes of Oakville, On. and by several nephews and nieces including Ron Hayes of Sussex, NB and Shirley Hopkins of Sackville, NB. Besides her parents she was predeceased by siblings; Ella Hayes, Georgie McNichol, Gordon Hayes, Stella Hills, Arthur Hayes and Murray Hayes. Visitation is at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Monday, December 1, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Mountain View United Church on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 2:30 pm with Rev. M. Anningson officiating. Interment will be at Millstream Cemetery, Millstream, NB. Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, Drew Nursing Home, Moncton Head Start or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by her family.
