JOAN ALICE STACKHOUSE

STACKHOUSE, JOAN ALICE - Joan Stackhouse of Saint John, NB passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 30, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late G. Edward Stackouse and daughter of the late George & Pearl (Godwin) Lobb. Joan had worked at the Saint John General Hospital as a Registered Lab Technician, and later at Baxter Dairies as a Quality Control Lab Technician but the joy of her life was her family and caring for them. She was involved with the Y'smenetts and enjoyed crafts, gardening and traveling. Survived by three sons, George (Charlene) of Quispamsis, Paul (Joanne) of Quispamsis and Gerry (Shelagh) of Saint John; one daughter, Joanne (Rob) Wilcox of Saint John; and eleven grandchildren, Sarah, Anna, Paula, Michael, Mark, Geoff, Derek, Jeremy, Katie, Mikhaela and Ben. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday, December 1, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 2:15 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery Extension following the service. Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
