Liverpool Margaret (Morrison) MacLeod, 89 of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, in Queens Manor with family at her side. Born in Millville, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Sarah (Smith) Morrison. Margaret grew up in New Waterford and after her marriage lived most of her life in Sydney, where she enjoyed many years skating with her husband, Donnie, on the rinks in Sydney. She was a former member of Trinity UCW, Whitney Pier and was an avid Tarabish and bridge player. She relished time spent with her grandchildren and especially enjoyed hosting them during vacations and holidays. Surviving are her sons, Gordon (Shaune), Liverpool, Douglas (Wilma) and Kenneth, both of Dartmouth; grandsons, Kirk, Scott, Iain, Stephan and Neil and granddaughters, Maggie and Emily; great-grandchildren, Rowan, Connor, Chloe, Gabriel and Tristan; special friends, Mary MacNeil and Marie Cecile LeLievre as well as several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Alexander; infant son, Douglas Murdock; sisters, Christine Morrison and Mary Gadd and brothers, Roderick, Smith and Murdock. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. from Sydney Memorial Chapel with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Burial will be in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
