MARKEY, GERALD F. - It is with sadness that the family of Gerald Markey announces his sudden passing at his home in Nanaimo, B.C. on December 3, 2003. Born in Woodstock, N.B. on May 23, 1939, Gerald was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Corcoran) Markey. He leaves to mourn his spouse, Angie, his son, Shawn and grandchildren, all of B.C., one sister Marie (Norman) Perry of Shelburne, N.S., three brothers Henry (Louise) of Montreal, Joseph (Lois) and Richard (Linda) of Woodstock, N.B., an aunt Helen Fewer, two uncles Basil and Earl Markey, several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. An infant brother, Donald, predeceased him. A visitation with the family in Gerald's memory will be held Sunday, December 7, 2003 at the Carleton Funeral Home in Jacksonville, N.B. between 3:30-5:30 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
