GALE FRANKLIN PHARO

PHARO, GALE FRANKLIN - Mr. Gale Pharo of Monroeville, Alabama, USA passed away on December 8, 2003 in his 77th year at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama, after a short illness. He is survived by his children, Paul (Patti) of Lethbridge, Alberta, Christopher (Cathy) of Cornwall, P.E.I., and his daughter Cynthia (Mark Phinney) of Quispamsis, N.B. He is predeceased by his loving wife Anne (Nielsen) of New Denmark, N.B. Gale, an only child, was born in Thetford Mines, Quebec and attended Bishop's University. He would go on to graduate from the University of Toronto with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed by Abitibi Consolidated Paper as well as Rothesay Pulp and Paper in Saint John for several years. His expertise and professionalism in the pulp and paper industry led him to relocations in Quebec, Newfoundland, Georgia, and eventually Monroeville where he settled for his retirement years. A quiet, private man, Gale was an avid reader in his spare time and had a passion for collecting coins and stamps. He was most proud of his grandchildren; Nicholas, Rachel, Meredith, Brooke, Megan, Michael and Kyle. He will be sadly missed by his coworkers, friends and family. Memorial Services will be held in Monroeville, USA and St. Paul's Anglican Church in Charlottetown, PEI. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation/Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
