SCOTT, ALBERTA (BETTY) LORENA - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on Saturday, December 20, 2003, Mrs. Alberta (Betty) Lorena (McLaughlin) Scott, 78, wife of the Late Lenward (Clint) Scott of Pennfield, NB. Born in Honeydale, NB on August 27,1925 she was a daughter of the late Roy and Lillian (Scott) McLaughlin. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she will be sadly missed by her daughter Carol Hatt (Eddie) of Pennfield, NB; two sons Marvin (Tracy) and Larry (Yvette) all of Blacks Harbour, NB; six grandchildren Paul Hatt (Jackie) of NS, Duane Scott (Susan) of Pennfield, Trudy Mahar (Randy) of Alberta, Amanda Scott of Edmonton, Jamie Scott of Pennfield and Bambi Scott (Jason) of Alberta; seven great grandchildren Chris Hatt, Stacie Hatt, Krysten Scott, Mathew Scott, Jessica Scott, Fallon Mahar and Alexandar Mahar; two brothers Charles and Guy McLaughlin; three sisters Joyce, Elva and Gracie; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Marie. Prior to her retirement Betty worked for Connors Bros, Blacks Harbour for 45 years. She was an avid Bingo player in her day and was a member of the Baptist Church in Pennfield. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533), with visiting on Monday, December 22, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The service will be held at The Pennfield Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 2 p.m with Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. Interment to take place in the spring. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.stgeorgefh.ca
