FRANKLAND, MERRITT THOMAS - Merritt Thomas Frankland, 76, of White Head, Grand Manan, passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital Monday evening December 29th, 2003. Born at White Head he was the son of the late Thomas and Rheta ( Merritt) Frankland. He was a mate on the Lady White Head Ferry before his retirement, a member of the White Head Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Laura (Mills) Frankland at home, two sons Kevin and Reed Frankland (April) of White Head. One sister Roberta Walker of Bridgetown, N.S. and two Grand Children. Visitation will be at the White Head Baptist Church on Thursday, followed by the funeral service on Friday, January 2nd, 2004 at 2:30pm with Rev. Jim Appleby officiating, with interment to follow in the White Head Community Cemetery. Donations to the W.H. Baptist Church, or W.H. Cemetery fund would be appreciated.
