1924-2008 Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy (Swarychewski) Cohen at the Glace Bay General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 23, 2008. Born in the Ukraine, she arrived in Canada, Dominion, C.B. at the age of nine, in 1935. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Magdalena Swarychewski, Dominion. She is survived by her loving husband, Philip Cohen; her very special daughter, Diane Cohen and her grandchildren, Samuel Cartwright, Vancouver, and Cheryl Cartwright, Toronto; and her loving sister, Marie Swarychewski, Dominion. She was a good friend to all who knew her. She had a great sense of humour and had great culinary and craft skills especially crocheting. Arrangements have been entrusted to Patten Funeral Home, Glace Bay. Burial has taken place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Contributions in her memory may be made to charity of your choice.
