HAYES, PATRICIA ELLEN - The death of Patricia Ellen Hayes of Hampton, widow of Harry Hayes occurred January 17, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born at Lakewood, daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Williams) Hewitt.??Mom enjoyed bowling, gardening and knitting. She was an avid sports fan. Her suppers on Sunday were always something to look forward to. Mom had a way of being very funny without trying. She will be missed. She is survived by one son Tony (Valerie) of Hampton; two daughters, Pam (Paul) and Lynne (Barry) of Saint John; granddaughter Jill Hayes; two brothers, Stanley "Butch" Hewitt (Lois) of Saint John, Bradley Hewitt of Saint John; five sisters, Dorothy Ratcliffe of Saint John, Ruth Roy (Norman) of Quispamsis, Barbara Dupre of Rothesay, Elizabeth Dallon of Nova Scotia, Ann Alderman of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother George Hewitt. Cremation will be followed by visitation at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Thursday at Reid's Funeral Home with service at 1:00pm.?Father Gerry White officiating.??Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in the spring.
