WITTRIEN, L. GLENN - 1943-2004 - Suddenly at his home, Glenn Wittrien passed away, his loving wife of 38 years Fraze Ann Wittrien was at his side. Pre-deceased by his father John (Larry) and mother Vera Wittrien. Glenn is survived by his only brother Noel, and his wife Gay. Glenn's only child, Heather, and her husband Kent Friars. He was the loving and proud grandfather of three grandchildren; Ashley, Matthew and Ryan Friars. Glenn started his career in 1962 with Coopers & Lybrand, Partnered with the firm in 1975, receiving his F.C.A Award in 1989 he continued his professional career, retiring in 2000 with the firm Price Waterhouse Coopers. In 2001 Glenn was named as the Executive Vice President of Anderson McTague Insurance, a job he truly loved, and a family he admired. Glenn was a very prominent member of the community being named President of the NB Inst of Chartered Accountants in 1988, President of the NB Red Cross and after many years of service in 1989 he was named the National Treasurer of the Canadian Red Cross serving 2 terms. Our husband, father, grandfather and friend will be greatly missed. Glenn touched many lives in his 60 years and will be fondly remember by many family friends and business associates throughout our community for his caring, devotion and knowledge. Resting at CASTLE "Fallsview" Funeral Home , 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) Saint John West. Visitation will be held at "Fallsview" on Monday Jan 19 from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. The Funeral will be held at the Fallsview Chapel on Wednesday Jan 20 at 11:00 am, no reception to follow.
