GEORGE MURRAY PARLEE
PARLEE, GEORGE MURRAY - Mr. George Murray Parlee of Apohaqui, New Brunswick, passed away on January 21, 2004 at the age of 86. Born in Lower Millstream, George was the son of the late Abram and Sarah (Goddard) Parlee. George is survived by his wife Sarah (Sadie) nee -Wallace, his son Bev and his wife Linda of Apohaqui, two sisters; Olive Simpson and her husband Ernest of Keirstead Mt. and Louise Lockhart of Bathurst, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his brother, Nelson and by five sisters, Florence, Mabel, Charlotte, Dorothy and Lulu. George served during WWII with the RCAF from 1943-1945. He was a member of the Apohaqui Community Church, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Norton Branch # 76, a member of the Kings County Historical Society, the Apohaqui Seniors and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Jointers of America Local # 2262. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Thursday 2-4, 7-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Norton Branch #76 will hold a tribute Thursday Evening at 6:45 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Apohaqui Community Church on Friday, January 23, 2004 at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery in the spring.
