WOODS, BENJAMIN JOSEPH - Passed away Sunday January 25th, 2004 at the Oromocto Hospital. Born in Montreal Que. on November 21st, 1918. He was the son of the late Henry and Lucy (Amos) Splude. Benjamin is survived by one son, Lloyd (Barbara) Woods of Welsford, two daughters; Delores (Blair) D'Entremont of Lower West Pubnico, NS, Linda (James) Benjamin of Martinon, NB one brother, Phil Woods of Saint John, eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. Benjamin was predeceased by his wife, Mary Emma (White), daughter, Lorraine Thibodeau, brother, Leonard Woods and sister, Emma White. Benjamin was employed for forty-two years at the Saint John Shipbuilding and was a boxer who was inducted into the Canadian and New Brunswick Hall of Fame. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd Saint John, NB. (646-2424), with visitation on Monday January 26th, 2004 from 7-9 pm and Tuesday January 27th, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday January 28th, 2004 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine's Church in Westfield. Interment will take place in the spring.
