LIONEL GEORGE DAIGLE
DAIGLE, LIONEL GEORGE - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday January 28, 2004, Lionel George Daigle of Saint John, husband of Alice (Guimond) (Mazerolle) Daigle. Born in Aldouane NB, a son of the late George and Osithe (Vautour) Daigle. He was a carpenter for over 40 years and had been the oldest living member of the Carpenters Union. He had belonged to the 30 Up Club, Arc-en-Ciel, Knights of Columbus and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. Surviving in addition to his wife Alice is a son; Armel and his wife Karen of Fredericton, a step-son Maurice Mazerolle and his wife Mary of Toronto, a daughter; Irene and her husband Ronald Daigle of Saint John and a step-daughter Nazaire Daigle of Gardiner, Mass., a sister; Bertha Gallagher of Neguac, 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Olive, also three children; Patsy, Roger and Reginald. Resting at CASTLE "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 3 pm Saturday January 31, 2004. Interment will take place in the spring at the St. Augustine Cemetery Grand Bay/Westfield. Visition at "Fallsview" on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
