STILWELL, PHYLLIS J. - The death of Phyllis Jean (Bauer) Stilwell of Saint John, wife of the late Edward Allan Stilwell, occurred on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Avis (Kelly) Bauer. She was a member of Portland United Church and the International Order of the Daughters of the Empire. Phyllis was formerly employed at Shoppers Drug Mart (Lansdowne Avenue) and had been Office Manager of Creaghan's Department Store (Lansdowne Avenue). She is survived by her son Brian and his wife Cheryl Lynn and their children, Karen Dawn, Andrew Allan and Heather Lynn of Truro, Nova Scotia, by her sister Joan (Walter) Flewelling of Saint John, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Walter Jr. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (506-634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Brenan's Chapel.
