ARTHUR STUART WESTON

WESTON, ARTHUR STUART - The death of Arthur Stuart Weston, husband of Kathleen (McIntyre) Weston, occurred on February 3, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Martins he was the son of the late Harry and Frances (Armstrong) Weston. He served with the Royal Canadian Regiment during WW II in Canada, the United Kingdom, the Central Mediterranean and Italy. He was a Prisoner of War in Germany for 11 months. He was employed with the Saint John Dry Dock as an electrician and engraver before his retirement. He was a member of St. Martins Baptist Church and was an honorary deacon. He was a member of F&AM, St. Martins Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid reader. Besides his wife he is survived by his twin daughters Dianne E. Love and her husband James of Quispamsis, Deanna M. Smith and her husband Wesley of Saint John, his brothers Charles and his wife Dorothy of Loch Lomond, Arnold and his wife Rita of Upham, James and his wife Barbara of Fairfield, his sisters Elizabeth Chamberlain of Salisbury, Leatha McGrath and her husband Herbert of Willow Grove, Mary Maynard of Fairfield, his grandchildren Scott and Michael Smith and Robert Love and several cousins, nieces and nephews. His brothers Lawrence, Edward, Wellesley, Joseph, and Fraser predeceased him. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2004, at 1:00 PM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Martins Community Cemetery in the spring.
