CARR, ALLEN B. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 14th, 2004; Allen Barry Carr, husband of the late Doreen Grace (Rooke) Carr of Morna. Born in Geary, NB, he was the son of the late Lorne and Agnes (Foss) Carr. Allen worked for many years for J.D. Irving driving heavy equipment. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. A World War II Veteran. Allen is survived by his daughter Linda (Carr) Cornish (Brian) of Saint John, four brothers, Stewart (Ethel) of Minto, Temple (Frances) of Hoyt, Howard, Phillip (Amy), all of Saint John, two sisters, Ruby of Calgary, Alberta and Nora Wilson (Bernard) of Saint John, two grandchildren, Anna Robichaud (Robert) and David Gorrill (Lorrie), three great grandchildren, Brandon, Adam and Wyatt, several nieces and nephews. Allen was predeceased by infant brothers Leo and William and sisters Isabell Mills, Melda Gillett and Helen Morehouse. By Allen's request cremation will take place, to be followed by a service of remembrance to be held in the chapel of CASTLE "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John, NB (506-634-1701) on Saturday, February 21st, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends during visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. A veterans tribute service will be conducted as part of the service. The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery Field of Honour. A reception will follow in the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. Donations may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donor's choice.
