MERCER, FREDERICK NELSON - 1919 - 2004 - Frederick Nelson Mercer, 84, of Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert passed away on February 16, 2004 at the Forest Dale Home with his family by his side. Fred was born in Bloomfield Ridge, Kings County on July 3, 1919 the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Allaby) Mercer. Fred was a faithful member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Friendship Senior Citizens Club in Riverside-Albert. Fred was a very caring and loving man who enjoyed the times spent with his family. He will be always be remembered. He will be deeply missed by his devoted and loving wife Teresa Dorothy (Beck) (Kenney) Mercer of Riverside-Albert; his loving children Marilyn McCann of Edmonton, Alberta, Diane Kenney of Saint John and Michael Kenney of Riverside-Albert ; his three sisters Ruth Bettel of Passcade, Jean Atkinson (Ron) of Williams Lake, BC, Sarah Parlee of Pickadilly; brother Victor Mercer of Salt Springs. Fred will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a daughter Dorothy Kenney; three sisters Elizabeth Chestnut, Alice Brady and Janey Mercer ; five brothers Herber, Thomas, Murray, Wesley and Elward. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 8-9pm anyone wishing to share memories and stories of Fred are invited to do so at this time. The funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Riverside-Albert on Wednesday, February 18,2004 at 11am. Internment will be held in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, in the spring.
