91, Cheticamp Marcellin Bourgeois, 91, of Foyer Pere Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp, died October 5, 2008 at the guest home. Born in Cheticamp, he was the son of the late Anthonie and Rose (LeBlanc) Bourgeois. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Cheticamp. Marcellin worked at the mines in Sudbury, Ont. called Inco for about 28 years and then he came home to retire in Cheticamp. He enjoyed playing bingo and was know for peeling tickets. He is survived by one son, Brian (Cecile) Bourgeois, Enfield and one daughter, Rose Marie Bourgeois, St. Catharines, Ont. He was predeceased by his wife, Annie Cook and one son, Tony Bourgeois; four brothers, Angus Bourgeois, David Bourgeois, Charlie Bourgeois and Johnny Bourgeois. Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Cheticamp with Fr. Peter LeBlanc officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
