SPROUL, EARL S. - Mr. Earl S. Sproul of Portagevale, NB passed away at his residence on February 17, 2004 at the age of 80. Earl was the son of the late Arthur S. Sproul and Hazel Goddard. Earl is survived by Doris (Smith) his beloved wife of 55 years, Five daughters; Carol Anne Arsenault and her husband Alex of Portagevale, Cathy Bannister and her husband Terry of Portagevale, Brenda Bannister and her husband David of Portagevale, June Friars and her husband Derek of Sussex Corner, Jackie Sproul and Robert Seaman of Parkindale, his daughter in law Mary Ann Sproul of Jefferies Corner, ten grandchildren, one great grandson, his brother Russell and his wife Bernice of Aylmer Ont. as well as several nieces and nephews. Earl was predeceased by his son Stan who passed away in 2001, his brothers George, Raleigh and Clarence and by his great granddaughter Ashley. Earl was a mechanic with J. Clark and Sons from 1954-1988. He enjoyed woodworking, rug making, Gardening, his Red Tractor, fishing and snowmobiling. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 20, 2004 at 1:00 pm with the interment in Portagevale Cemetery in the spring.
