ROSS WELDON WILSON

WILSON, ROSS WELDON - Ross Weldon Wilson - 84; of Grand Manan, N.B. passed away unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen on Wednesday, February 25th, after a brief illness. Born in Grand Harbour he was the son of the late Frank and Maryetta (Wilcox) Wilson of Grand Harbour. Mr. Wilson was a retired Merchant Seaman and sailed on The Port Royal Park 1944-1945, and as well a fisherman and fished from various ports in both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia during his career. He was a member of the North Head Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters Arlene Waddingham, Beaver Harbour, Sandra Field (Robert), North Head, one son Ross Jr. of Beaver Harbour, one sister Avis Taylor, North Head, ten grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian (Skidds), four brothers Malcolm, James, Victor and Eldred, four sisters, Mavis, Zelia, Margaret, and Muriel, and one grandson Douglas Field. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Friday 2-4, 7-9 PM with the funeral to be held from the North Head Baptist Church Saturday at 12:30 PM with Rev. Ron Ford officiating, interment to follow in the family plot North Head Community Cemetery later in the spring. Donations to the Grand Manan Boys and Girls Club would be appreciated by the family.
