CLAUDE GUIMONT
GUIMONT, CLAUDE - At his residence, Sunday February 29, 2004, Mr. Claude Guimont of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 87 years. He was the husband of the late Eva Gauvin. Born at Grand Falls in 1917, he was a son of the late Elzear and Alice (McCluskey) Guimont. Mr. Guimont was a retired businessman, having been co-owner of Grand Falls Dairy for a number of years. He was a life member of the Grand Falls Knights of Columbus, council 2331. A gifted storyteller, he was also well known for his love of horses. He was predeceased by a brother, Adrien and two sisters, Rita and Dorothy. He is survived by three brothers, Camille of Drumheller, Alberta, George (Shirley) of Fairmont Hot Springs, B.C. and Albert of Jaffray, B.C., two sisters, Theresa Levesque of Grand Falls and Anne-Marie Bilodeau (Benoit) of Trois-Pistoles, Quebec, as well as nieces and nephews. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 3rd at 11:00 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
