30, Sydney Mines It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Tanya Bishop, age 30, of Sydney Mines, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at home. Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Eugenia (Jeannie) Bishop. Tanya is survived by the loves of her life, her brother D.J.; her sisters, Danielle and Keona; nephew, Dominic and also surviving is a brother, Devin; her stepfather, Danny Fitzgerald; her father, Jerry Ashford and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Hazel Bishop and Bill Morrison and paternal grandparents, Art and Margaret Ashford. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Church, North Sydney, with Rev. Jim Attwood officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
