CLIFTON BECK
BECK, CLIFTON - Clifton Beck formerly of Montreal, died suddenly in Ottawa on Monday March 8, 2004 in his 82nd year, a life that came through its arc to maturity. Clifton Beck was the husband of Betty Beck (née Reilley) whom he loved dearly. Those who mourn with her include daughter Catherine, daughter Beverly Lemire, son-in-law Morris Lemire, granddaughter Shannon Lemire, son Martin Côté-Beck, daughter-in-law Celine Côté-Beck, and grandchildren Catitlin, Timon, and Nathan Beck. Friends and colleagues are missing him also. RCAF pilot at age 19 (1941-44); corporate secretary with Dominion Textiles, Montreal (1952-82); passionately devoted to wild birds, birding and natural ecology (1950-2004). At Clif's request, there will be no funeral. His family will celebrate his life creatively. You may celebrate his life, too, by protecting and regenerating spaces for indigenous wild species.
