82, Albert Bridge Gordon William Dawe, 82, Trout Brook Road, Albert Bridge, passed away at home on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Frederick and Lillian (Poirier) Dawe. Gordon is survived by his daughter, Ann Romard (Ray Campbell), Sydney; sons, Gordon (Mary), Hillside Road, and Roy (Donna), Sydney; sister, Mary Fitzpatrick, Alberta; brothers, Gerald, Glace Bay, Frank, P.E.I., and Albert, New Brunswick; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Eliza (Vouden) and brothers, Cecil and Ed. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the Church of Christ the King, Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fred Rhymes officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. There will be a reception in the church hall following the burial. Memorials may be made to the family at sydneymemorialchapel@ns.sympatico.ca.
