GARDNER, ROBERT (BOB) - The death of Bob Gardner of Campobello Island New Brunswick and Charlotte Maine, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen New Brunswick on March 24, 2004. Born in Montreal Québec May 9, 1937, he was the son of the late Robert and Emma May Gardner. Survived by his wife, Betty (Lank) Gardner of Charlotte Maine; two daughters, Gail Austin of Peabody Massachusetts; Shannon (Geoffrey) Curtis of Winchester Massachusetts; son, Robert S. (Cindy) Gardner of Rockland Maine; four grandchildren, Matthew Austin, Robert H. Gardner, Amanda Gardner, and Ashley Gardner. Bob was a graduate of Montreal West High School. Bob received a BSc from the University of New Brunswick, and a MEd from the University of Maine. Bob was retired from the state of Maine Department of Marine Resources. Service of Remembrance will be held at 2pm on Sunday March 28, from St. Anne's Anglican Church, Welshpool, Campobello Island, New Brunswick, with Rev. Charles Smart officiating.
