88, Sydney It is with heavy hearts that we, the family announce the passing of Eva Cecilia Campbell on Oct. 15, 2008, at the Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility. Born Aug. 19, 1920, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Mary (Fougere) Tromans. She was a longtime resident of Grand Lake Road. Eva was a member of the United Ostomy Association. She enjoyed needlework, quilting, puzzles, scrabble and bingo. Eva is survived by her four children, Margaret (Ralph) Trenchard, Sydney, Susan Campbell, Sydney, Joseph (Catherine) Campbell, Halifax, Charlotte (Bruce) Mortimer, Sydney; five siblings, Rose Roache, Moncton, Shirley Publicover, Halifax, Lena Whalen, Sydney, Benjamin Tromans, Kempt Head, Ambrose Tromans, Ontario. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Stephen Crossman, Halifax, Arthur and Allister Trenchard, Sydney, Mitchell and Brandy Mortimer, Sydney; two great-grandchildren, Ashton Mugridge, Sydney, Jillian Trenchard, Sydney; as well as special friend and sister-in-law, Mary Debison, South Bar; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Campbell in 2005, sister, Marie Tromans, and brothers, George and Alfred Tromans. Visitation will take place Friday, Oct. 17 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 18 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment to take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery at a later date.
