Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on Sunday, July 6, 2008, Edmund Olford, aged 78 years. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Susannah Olford; brother George; sisters: Lucretia "Tish" and Doris, son-in-law Charles Shiers. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 58 years Mary Olford (nee Butcher); sons: Gary (Joan), Wayne (Charmaine), Craig (Ann) and Scott (Roxanne); daughter Susan (Darryl Crandall); eight precious grandchildren: LynnAnn, Michael, Reneé, Melissa, Christopher, Ashley, James and Jessica; two precious great-grandchildren: Janessa and Evan; sister-in-law Jenny (George Stanford); brother-in-law John Collins; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends at the Hillcrest Estates Seniors Complex, Mt. Pearl. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-12 noon, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Chapel on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. Interment will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Rd. Columbarium.
