WARD, JAMES DOUGLAS - The death of James Douglas Ward of Sussex Corner, husband of the late Stella (Campbell) Ward occurred March 29, 2004 at his residence. He was born at Saint John, son of the late George and Jane (Kerr) Ward. Jim was a resident of Saint John moving to Sussex Corner in 1972. He worked at NB Tel for over forty years retiring in 1977. He was a Life Member of Telephone Pioneers of America, member of N.B. Lodge #22, F.& A.M., Portland United Church while living in Saint John and St. Paul's United Church while living in Sussex. Jim enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He is survived by one daughter, Rhona Jean Shaw (Clifford) of Kitchener, ON; one son, Douglas R. Ward (Gail) of Hammond River; five grandchildren, Bryce Ward, Sean Ward, Laurie Kesterke, Kimberley Rebelo, Tracey Bates; five great grandchildren, Scott, Brent, Jeffery, Brittany, and Benjamin; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother Rev. George K. Ward. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Friday at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel with service at 11:00 am. Rev. Philip Dallimore officiating. The pallbearers are: Bryce Ward, Sean Ward, Richard Davidson, Clem Powell, Laurie Canning and Peter O'Neill. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Memorials to N.B.
