HATT, JESSIE NORA - Jessie Nora Hatt 96; of North Head, Grand Manan passed away Friday evening April 2nd, 2004 after a lengthy illness, at the Grand Manan Hospital. Born at North Head, she was the daughter of the late Oswald and Flora (Stanley) Parker. Before her retirement Mrs. Hatt was a cook at the Rose Cottage, the Grand Manan Hospital and later at the Marathon Hotel, a member of the North Head Wesleyan Church, the Ladies Missionary Group and also the Senior Ladies of Rotary Isles Estates. Mrs. Hatt is survived by her daughter Hazel Brown, Grand Manan, three sisters Stella Avery, Ella Gaskill and Blake Hooper, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hatt was predeceased by her husband Charles as well as by four sisters Edith, Fern, Della, and Nettie, also three brothers Harry, Garfield and Cleveland. Visiting will be at the Ells Funeral Home, Saturday evening 7-9 PM, Sunday 2-4, 7-9 PM with funeral service to be held from the North Wesleyan Church, on Monday, April 5th, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Charles Bain officiating with interment to follow in the family plot North Head Community Cemetery later in the spring. Donations to the North Head Wesleyan Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
