McFARLANE, LAWRENCE DOUGLAS - The death of Mr. Lawrence Douglas McFarlane of St. George, NB, husband of Barbara (McNally) McFarlane, occurred on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Halifax, NS on February 8, 1947, he was a son of the late Robert and Elsie (Milton) McFarlane. Besides his wife, Barbara, he is survived by four sons, A. Shawn of Texas, USA, Douglas (Gayle Anderson) of Calgary, AB, Bobby (Lena Onlick) of Makkovik, Labrador, and Norman of Gagetown, NB; one brother, Richard (Janet) of Truro, NS; one sister, Marilyn McFarlane (Basil Kervin) of Cains River, NB; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by one sister, Mary, and one brother, Robert. Lawrence was a heavy equipment operator, and was an operator with the Bill Lynch Shows for over eleven years. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held on Monday at 2 pm from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel, at the funeral home, with Rev. Mary Ann Langmaid officiating.
