HARRISON LEMUEL MEIGHAN
MEIGHAN, HARRISON LEMUEL - The death of Harrison Meighan occurred at the Turnbull Nursing Home on Friday April 9, 2004. Born in Newtown, NB on November 17, 1922, he was the son of the late John and Clementine (Harrison) Meighan. Survived by his loving wife Marie (Edgar), daughter Karen (Ken) of Toronto, son Stephen (Takiko) of BC; grandchildren Mona and Kaisei of Burnaby, BC; sister Edythe Wood (Douglas) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Gordon and sister Pearl. Harrison was employed by Irving Oil Company for many years and Armour Transport Systems, retiring in 1993. He was a former member of Union Lodge of Portland and the United Empire Loyalists Association. He and his family enjoyed summers at their cottage in Belleisle Bay for a number of years. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitation on Monday April 12, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday April 13, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place in Gaslin Cemetery, Smith Creek at a later date.
