ELEANOR M. KNOX

KNOX, ELEANOR M. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Monday, April 12th, 2004, Eleanor Muriel (Galbraith) Jefferson Knox, life-long resident of the West side. Born in Lorneville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ethel (Reid) Galbraith. Eleanor is survived by her son Arthur (Virginia) Jefferson of Rothesay and daughter Jo-anne Jefferson of Woodman's Point, grandsons Jack (Kelly), Ross, beloved great grandchildren Liam, Kennedy, only surviving sister Mrs. Viola Evans of Lorneville, step-daughters Marie Woodland, Joan Garland, and Pauline Harper, all of Saint John, step-sons Donald and Edward Knox of Ontario, also many nieces and nephews. Eleanor is survived by her dear friend Audrey Estabrooks. Eleanor was predeceased by her first husband John Robert Jefferson and her second husband William P. Knox, sisters Beulah Splane, Margaret Phillips, Hilda Myles, Audrey Alderman, brothers Lester and Winfred (Andy Galbraith). Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John (506-634-1701) from where the service of remembrance will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. The interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. By family request, no flowers, but donations may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, NB Extra Mural Program Foundation, Romero House or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
