GAMBLIN, GORDON ANGUS - The death of Gordon Angus Gamblin of Fredericton, Husband of Audrey Babb - Gamblin on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, He was the adopted son of the late Joseph and Mabel Gamblin. Also biological son of Frederick and Mary Landry. Mr. Gamblin was a retired carpenter for the Department of Justice at the RCMP Headquarters in Fredericton, NB Charter member, member of Nashwaaksis United Baptist Church, was a past member of the Orange Lodge, Gordon served in the Canadian Forces in the WW II in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean and Continental Europe. He is survived by four daughters Gordena Correy (John) of Taymouth, Isabelle Gamblin of Fredericton, Deborah Smith (Douglas) of Fredericton and Suzan Gratter (John Ward) of Fredericton NB; four step daughters Gail (Leonard) Armstrong of Fredericton NB, Pauline (Jack) Collins of McGivney, Marie (Mike) Hunter of Chipman and Dorene (Hubert) Davis of Boiestown; one step daughter-in-law Gloria Kent of Halifax; seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers Ned Landry, his wife Mildred of St. George, NB and Anthony Landry of Saint John, NB. He is predeceased by three brothers, Tom, Alfonse and Timothy Landry; four adopted brothers, Charles, Edward, Arthur and Walter; two sisters Florence Walker and Esther McIvor; one adopted sister Geraldine Lewis and one step son Trueman Kent. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North on Monday May 3, 2004 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
