GIBBONS, STEPHEN JAMES - 54, of Dartmouth passed away May 6, 2004 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, he was?a son of Irene Margaret (Sleep) Gibbons and the late James Fenton Gibbons. Stephen began his career in carpentry in 1967 in Dartmouth, NS receiving his Journeyman's Ticket and Inter-Provincial Permit in 1970. For the next 15 years he worked as a carpenter, joiner and shipwright for civil service and private business, and since 1985 worked at the?Halifax Shipyard Ltd. Stephen loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also?bred and?trained Beagles, and was a past member of the Canadian Kennel Club.?Steve enjoyed many activities, but his?happiest times were spent at his camp in Stewiacke. Surviving are brother Peter (Diane), Lower Sackville?with nephews Greg and Pat, sister Judith (Michael) deMontbrun, Edmonton with nephews Steve and Dave.
