ALMETA NAOMI (LAMB) (PIERCE) GIBBS
GIBBS, ALMETA NAOMI (LAMB) (PIERCE) - Of Wildwood Street, died peacefully at the SJRH on May 14, 2004. She was born in Saint John and was the daughter of the late Gordon and Nancy Lamb. She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Gibbs, two sons, Daryl Pierce and William Pierce (Jennifer), one daughter Kelly Barrieau (Gilles), two brothers Merlin Lamb and Maynard Lamb, and one sister Margaret Waddell (Burton). Also survived by eight grandchildren Terri-Lyn, Charissa, Jason, Kent, Katelyn, Hannah, Sarah, Devan and four great grandchildren Tristan, Jordan, Madison, Evan, several nieces and nephews, two stepdaughters, two stepsons and a special friend Gloria Ferron. Predeceased by two sons Gordon and Kent and one brother Allison. Almeta was a member of the UCW at Glenview United Church. She enjoyed socializing, and frequently gathered with her friends to play cards and reminisce. Resting at A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster St., 634-1712 with visiting on Sunday 7-9 pm and Monday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in Cavanagh's Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am followed by burial in Fernhill Cemetery.
