ALLEN, REGINALD BENSON - It is with sadness we annouce the passing of Reginald B. Allen, 78, in Westwood, Mass. formerly of East Saint John, son of Frank and Loretta (Ackles) Allen. Reg was employed by N.B.Tel and a member of the Telephone Pioneers to whom he donated a signature quilt two years ago, which was made to raise funds for the war effort during World War II and Reg won it in a raffle. Reg figure skated in his younger days and when he moved to Mass. during the early 50's to open an electronics business, he continued his love of skating with the Weymouth Figure Skating Club. Reg was active in his church and belonged to the Westwood Rotary Club as past president earning the prestigeous Paul Harris Award for service. Besides his wife Lorraine, Reg will be missed by his daughters Nancy and Lori and three sisters, Minnie Whitaker, Florida, Evelyn McIntyre, Saint John and Marion Hurley, Montreal and several nieces and nephews. Burial took place from Westwood Baptist Church, Westwood, Mass.
