MacDONALD, C. DOUGLAS - The death of C. Douglas MacDonald of Burtt's Corner, husband of Priscilla J. (Morehouse) MacDonald, occurred on Monday, May 17, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Burtt's Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Cecil and Elfreda (Burtt) MacDonald. Mr. MacDonald worked the home farm and was retired from NBPower, Mactaquac . He was a member of the Burtt's Corner Church of Christ where for many years He was the Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon and Trustee; he was as well a former member of the Burtt's Corner Brass Band. Besides his wife of 54 years, Mr. MacDonald is survived by two daughters, Wendy Haines (Dale) of Quispamsis, NB and Andrea Pelham (Joe) of Hampton, NB; four grandchildren, Stephanie Stone (Cameron) of Pelham, ON, Christopher Haines of Fredericton, Madison and Emma Pelham of Hampton; one sister, Janet Jones (Aulden) of Fredericton; one aunt, Vella Jones of Burtt's Corner and mother-in-law, Edith Morehouse of York Manor, Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, May 19th, 2004 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 2 pm from the Burtt's Corner Church of Christ with Pastor Graham Crandall officiating and Rev. Norman Trafton assisting. Interment will follow in the Burtt's Corner Cemetery. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, New Brunswick Lung Association or to the Burtt's Corner Church of Christ Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
