HOWARD, EUGENE H. - The death of Mr. H. Eugene Howard, loving husband of Gladys D. (Sherwood) Howard, of East Saint John, occurred on Thursday May 27, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1925 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Herbert Walter and Edith Hazel (Miller) Howard. Eugene was a member of the Saint John Executive Association, member and Trustee of Silver Falls United Church, Past Board member of Simonds Co-op and Meals on Wheels; Volunteer Meals on Wheels and United Church Clothing Depot. He was a veteran of WWII Serving in the RCAF from 1943 - 1947. Eugene was the President of Eastern Sign and Display Service Ltd. Besides his loving wife Gladys, he is survived by his daughters Christine Howard-Connors (Mark) of Saint John, Janice Legere of Quispamsis and Gwen Totten (Barry) of Saint John; brother Ronald Howard (Muriel) of Saint John; sister Colleen Howard of Saint John; five grandchildren; one great grandson; several brother and sister in laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Silver Falls United Church on Monday May 31, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
