SMITH, BASIL - The death of Basil Smith of Birch Ridge, occurred on May 26, 2004 at his residence at the age of 70. Born in Clearview, he was the son of George Smith and the late Eva (Good) Smith. Besides his father he is survived by one daughter Shelley Smith (Ross Goodine) of Tilley; one son Shane Smith (Vickie Baker) of Perth-Andover; four grandchildren Curtis, Harley, Jared and Maggie; one brother Alley (Julie) Smith of Birch Ridge; two sisters Betty Lockhart of Perth-Andover and Shirley (James) Ott of Penn. Predeceased by his mother, wife Margaret (Campbell) Smith and one brother Berlin. Resting at White's Funeral Home with visiting hours on Friday May 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 29 at 2 PM from White's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Smith officiating. Interment in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
