ATKINSON, DOROTHY MARGARET - The death of Dorothy Margaret Atkinson of Sackville, NB, occurred at Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, NB, on Saturday, May 29th, 2004. Born in Victoria, Cumberland Co. NS, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Murphy) Wood; and the wife of the late Fred T Atkinson. Survived by one son, Aubrey Atkinson of Sackville, NB, one daughter, Marion Brien of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Alan and Peter Atkinson, Joan Hayes and Carol Bavis; seven great grandchildren, Hayley, Christopher and Kristeen Atkinson, Connor Alex and Brody Hayes and Kelly Bavis; her sibling, David Wood of Port Elgin, Helen Toole of Bellville, ON, Marie Barry (Joe) of Fredericton, Hugh Wood (Phyllis) of Baie Verte, Noreen McFarlane (Jim) Coquitlam, BC, Marjorie Hicks (Guptill) of St. John, NB, Lorne Wood of Oshawa, ON, Lorna MacNeil (Malcolm) of Fredericton and Shirley Graham (Ronald) of Cornwall, PEI; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Fred; one brother, Basil Wood; one sister, Jean Thompson; daughter in - law- Ann Atkinson and son-in-law Ken Brien. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 1st, 2004 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 2nd, at 11:00 am. Rev. David Fisher will officiate. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
