SARAH JOSEPHINE (LUCAS) McQUADE
McQUADE, SARAH JOSEPHINE (LUCAS) - Guided by God's loving and merciful hands, Sarah Josephine (Lucas) McQuade was called home to her Father, on Saturday May 29th, 2004 she was born in Chipman, NB., on April 21st, 1920. Sarah was predeceased by her parents, William and Marie (Dalton), and her brother James. One of Sarah's greatest joy's in life were derived from her family, and she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and great grand mother. Sarah is survived by her loving husband Lorne Thomas McQuade, three sons, Thomas (Jennifer), Richard, Paul, six daughters, Juanita Watson, Sandra MacLellan, Dianne McQuade-Clark (Paul), all of Saint John, Joanne Williams (Harold) of Dipper Harbour, Deborah McQuade (Kenneth Fitzpatrick) of Fredericton and Lorna Ganong (Dwight), also of Fredericton NB, two sisters, Geraldine Kelly of Saint John, and Margaret Dicarlo (Angelo) of Minto, NB and nineteen grandchildren, five great grand children, plus several nieces and nephews. Sarah graduated from the Provincial Normal School after which she pursued a career as a schoolteacher. She taught in many school districts across NB., touching the lives of many students. She was a long time member of St. Joachim's and Cathedral parishes in Saint John. Her faith in prayer provided her with peace in her years of failing health. Sarah's life will be celebrated in a mass of Christian Burial at St. Joachim's Church on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2004 at 11am, followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery. She is resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John, NB. on Monday May 31st, 2004 from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
