LAVIGNE, MARY CATHERINE - The death of Mrs. Mary Catherine Lavigne, loving wife of John Lavigne, of East Saint John, occurred unexpectedly on Wednesday June 2, 2004 at her residence. Born 1928, in Saint John she was the daughter of the late John Edwin and Gertrude Eileen (Hayes) Moore. Mary was a volunteer with the Saint John Boys and Girls Club. Besides her loving husband John, she is survived by her son John William Lavigne of Saint John; sisters Alice Peterson, Mabel Gagne, Theresa, Doreen Tonge, and Shirley Belanger; brothers John J. Moore and Henry Hayes; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Edna Sampson. By request there will be no visitation. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday June 5, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. The family would appreciate donations made to the charity of the donor's choice.
