BROWN, JOE - Died peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 11, 2004. Joe was born and grew up in Cape Breton where he became a professional boxer, beginning his career in 1954. He fought in several provinces and throughout the USA. He was also well known for opening and operating the "Joe & Sailors Gym" in Saint John where he contributed a lot of his time as a boxing trainer. Joe is survived by two sons Rodney J. Brown and Victor J. Brown; one daughter Catherine A. Brown, several brothers, sisters and his good friends Wally Glaspy and Wade Freeze. Arrangements are under the direction of A.W.
